Same, Same But Different

It is not your job to make my life perfect. Your responsibility is to your life, happiness included. You teach me how to treat you by accepting, or not, my behaviour as it relates to you. Respect and unconditional love for me starts with you practicing that with yourself first. You cannot give to me that which you don't give to yourself. There's a reason they always tell you to put the oxygen mask on yourself FIRST.

Do not accept the unacceptable. And if you are noticing that you do, stop and ask yourself "why am I?" The answer is your starting point with regards to what you begin healing within yourself. By eliminating your sensitive buttons you ensure that you are never under my control. It's all the power you will ever need. Control your reaction and you control your world. This is fantastic news! You didn't know it but you've always had the power, like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.

Remember, everything I do, or don't do, is always about me and what is going on in my head. If I hurt you, rest assured that I am hurting. I just can't tell you because my ego won't allow it. It demands that I live up to a certain 'image' it has of me. My ego uses all my fears, insecurities and perceived vulnerabilities to control me. I am powerless until I find the courage to face my fears, insecurities and perceived vulnerabilities. It is the bully within me.

But hey, don't believe me, look to yourself and you will discover this to be true. One thing I know with certainty is that when I understand myself, I understand you. We humans are not as different from each other as our ego would like us to believe.

I am special and you are equally special. Let's not continue to allow our ego to tell us differently.

If any of this resonates within you, you know it's your truth. Live accordingly. Accepting that some days will be easier than others. And knowing that we will always have another opportunity to do it better.

When the facts are clear the choices are obvious
